Before you scroll, let me give you a brief introduction to this project.
Our project was to create a Photo Essay. Theme - up to us to decide.
For mine, I decided to go with "Who am I?". Right after the covid lockdown, many teens were going our with their friends. After being in lockdown, stuck at home with no physical contact to their friends, worried for their loved ones, stressed and anxious about the changes the pandemic would have on their lives, many of them started going out to drink, have fun, club with their friends.
This photo essay depicts the struggle of a teen trying to navigate their life after the lockdown.
During the lockdown, the teen was upset and decided to take a sip.
Slowly, they realised the "beauty" of alcohol.
The teen was hiding from reality and lying to herself that she is doing fine.
After lockdown, she started going to clubs and parties with friends.
Her worries, emotions and stress started catching up with her.
She turned to anything that kept her numb and away from reality.
Everything she avoided started catching up with her again, and now she's left wondering...
"Who am I?"
